It's my name Salvatore in Sicilian. Fruit of the earth and my hard work, it is produced in the famous Contrada Buonivini. Catarratto is one of the few native white grape varieties that have always been grown in Pachino and is known locally as "Mantiddatu" (Mantellato).
Classification: Igt Terre Siciliane Catarratto, Turi Bianco 2023 (Orange, 750ml)
Locally known as “Mantiddatu” (Mantle), Catarratto has been cultivated in Pachino for generations but was excluded from the DOC, which focused on reds. This biodynamic expression is hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and macerated for up to five days before fermenting in steel and aging in concrete.
Turi Bianco is fresh and mineral-driven, with stone fruits, wildflowers, and Mediterranean herbs, finishing with a delicate saline note. Its crisp acidity and light herbal character make it a versatile food wine.
